I just bought a PSP 3000, but it won't show up when i connect it with a USB to

my macbook. Anyone know what's wrong ?

iirc, you have to set your psp to usb mode, then it'll show up as an external disk on your mb.

it's in USB mode, but no device shows up on my mac and my PSP always

display "Please wait..." for hours..... T_T

You'll need to plug it into the USB lead otherwise how do you think it will show up!!!!

If it's not plugged, the PSP will show " Connect a USB cable ".

and when its plugged. it says " Please wait "

every once in a while when i use my external HD, a similar situation happens.
If your USB cable has two tails, try plugging them both in (to the laptop), the extra power might jump start it.
Another solution is to plug it in, set the PSP to usb mode, then put the macbook to sleep by closing the lid, wait a few seconds until it completely sleeps, then wake it up again.

3/4 times this worked on my externals.

If you can't figure out how to get it to show up on your Macintosh, try looking at Sony's PlayStation Portable Support Page [link] or you can send an email to Customer Services [link]
