So...if they're paying Arn for that it's pretty ironic considering most of the threads regarding Psystar on MR seems to represent that most of the members of MR have a dislike for Psystar. (at least from the ones I've read)

Actually, I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that the advertisements on macrumors are generated by another parent company that pays MacRumors for 'clicks' of advertisements.

Arn or MacRumors probably was not approached directly to allow their banner on the site, but is there because of the related content on the page.

Ex: mac, os x, apple..etc.

Well it's a moot point now since Psystar has agreed to stop offering OS X Open Computers in exchange for Apple dropping their suit.

If you look closely it will show that the ads are by Google. So Google puts ads on MR and pays Arn. When you do certain searches on MR a lot of times the ads will change depending on what you searched for.

Could Not Order

I tried to place an order Saturday and it declined my card. They sent me an email Monday (10/27) and asked how they could help me. I asked why they declined and have not heard back.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5F137 Safari/525.20)

The ads are generated based on the text on the page, so could say something here, for example, paintball, and ads for paintballing could appear. But I can't see them because I'm a Demi! :D

That's not what I'm reading. Psystar is still going strong and expects to be able to offer a notebook in the future. Yes Apple did back off and took rher case out of the courtroom to arbitration. Sounds like Apple is very afraid of loosing

That or keeping the publicity down. You stir something up, people will flock to it, and even buy it just because its in the news.

I want a hackintosh laptop. That would be sweet. If Apple is going to force those horrid new laptops on people an offering from Psystar would be great.
