After many days and hours of research. I think I might for a Psystar. Eventually, their Open 7 will support OS X.

Open 7 uses iCore7, Mac Pro uses Xeon. I use my machine for very heavy 3D and graphic work. Any suggestions?

Also, the new Mac Pro is coming out soon. BUT, users cannot run AutoCAD 2008 or 3D studio Max 9 or 2008 or 2009 under Bootcamp due to user license problem.

Please help.

Yes, you can. I have Revit Architecture Suite 2009, 3DS Max 2009, and Autocad Architecture 2008 all running on Windows Vista Business 64bit on my Mac Pro. They all work flawlessly. I installed them normally and did no special tricks.

I refuse to see why Windows in Boot Camp can't run a program.

Get the Mac Pro when they're updated. Gainestown beats Core i7 ANY day.

if you google something like 3D studio Max in Bootcamp problem. or 3D studio Max Bootcamp license. you will see some stuff pop up.

inside a mac and a pc are exactly the same. apple is just over priced. don't you agree?

ok, perhaps 64bit. thanks for the info.

you didn't actually PAY for those programs right? and they work...? if yes, then cool.

No, because there are no PCs that will be using Gainestown that provide such design, expansion, and speed on their OS.

that's fine, you don't agree.
we all know for fact that they are the same - inside a pc and a mac. mac has a better design. pc is a messy, like Michael Dell

It would be theft otherwise. He better have paid.

It would be theft if he took 'em from a store; otherwise it's copyright infringement ;)
Judging by his username, I strongly doubt he bought them.

It's more likely his employer did.

is your "liscense problem" in regards to illegal and copied software?

for example: on my macbook pro. the newest MBP.
i can install 3D studio max 2009, i can run it. BUT. if i restart my computer 4 or 5 times. i won't be able to run the program again, pop up: license corrupted.

this is a known issue. Maya is ok though. a different method to crack the program.

Pystar will be a bag of hurt with each software upgrade. How much is your time worth?

Multiple time wasted by hourly rate + rage factor, if that is more than the cost difference then Pystar is a bad investment. Just my two cents...

A known issue with your pirated programs, maybe, but not with the real software. It runs fine on Macs.

If they are the "same", then why does Windows run faster on Apple hardware than it does on generic PC hardware?

well i know this is a mac forums. i have been reading people's posts. i know you guys are crazy about mac. if there is a toilet made by apple, i think you guys would buy it just because you can plug in your ipod.

mac is overpriced. we don't have to argue. let say the new 24" display. you tell me that thing is not over priced? people buy it because its design and the brand.

It's rather obvious now you don't know what you are doing. I did in fact pay for my programs, with student licenses (I'm a grad student) they are actually rather inexpensive. But a large number of students do pirate the programs, college is expensive and some can't swing the cash, and on Macs. I assure all these programs run fine wether purchased legally or not. You're issues result from you not knowing what you are doing.

Mac Pro is like a rip off to the max for the specs you get. I think you should go for a PC, you can get a faster one for $1290USD

ASUS P6T X58 ATX LGA1366 DDR3
Intel Core i7 920 Quad Core Processor LGA1366 2.66GHZ Bloomfield 8MB LGA1366 4.8GT/S

Western Digital SE16 500GB SATA2 7200RPM 16MB Cache 8.9MS

The Mac Pro, costs 2799!! you save $1500. Or even if you want to spend more, you can get a even much faster machine, perhaps with running Dual SLI (2 Video cards at once).. up to 8GB Memory, or a bigger screen..

Obviously. Get off of our website.

Why don't you just STEAL the Mac Pro, then, as that's the same thing?

this is how mac people talks. tell green? or tell dirty?
don't tell me your never download music. or your kids download, your girlfriend, your wife. your brother, siister. you name it.

let's not go there. wayyy off my questions. i was asking psystar and mac pro. i guess you can call Psystar STEAL too. well, what is pure in this world? NONE my friend.

I don't. You won't believe me, but I could care less what you think, as you're a software pirate. Some humans still have a sense of morality.

Find me ONE 24" LED H-IPS panel that retails for less than the Apple Cinema Display.
