Trying to set up iPad pro m1 external display (3440 X 1440) and whatever I try, it will only output at a resolution that keeps black bars either side (2560 X 1440).
I can of course stretch to full screen but everything of course is stretched and the scaling is well off.
Anyone managed to get a ultra-wide to run natively?
If so what cables / dongles worked?
Thanks in advance 👍

When I try with the USB-C hub - it only displays 16:9 and in lower res. When I use a USB-C to DP cable to the monitor it displays in full 21:9 3440x1440 as you’d expect.

Yeah I thought my hdmi might be the issue but also will only display 2560x1440 on a usb c to display port cable also..
When I put it in dot by dot or direct drive on the monitor, it's definitely at 16:9 if I force full screen it will just stretch out the 2560 to fill.

Hmm strange I have the alienware 3418DW (or 3420dw) by the way. It must have something to do with the monitor then. Hopefully they get to test it on most commercially available monitors.
