Public iDisk without MobileMe Account

Someone is trying to share a file with me through the public folder on their iDisk. Whether I try to log in with their public password in the iDisk app or try through Safari, it won't work on iPad. Going to that same URL on a Mac allows me to sign in with the password they gave me.

Is there a way to use someone's public password to access public files on an iDisk on iPad?

Download and use the iDisk app from the App Store.

Edit: sorry, just saw you tried that. Weird. I haven't had it not work before. Sorry. Can't help.

That doesn't work. That app doesn't accept people's public passwords. I think that app only works when you have a MobileMe account yourself.
