Hi. I want to download Adobe Light Room Beta but it says it will expire sometime in Jan. Does that mean I can still keep it on my computer or will it tell me it has expired?

Well it's Beta software and thus a trial that will expire. So after January 30th 2007, your Beta 3 version of Light Room will not be usable (it will give a message saying what date it expired and it won't start up).

Though according to their FAQ (pdf file), if the full retail version isn't out by then, they will release another beta version with an appropriate expiration date that will extend the beta period. So it's just like they did with V1 and V2. Before Beta 1 expired, they released Beta 2 with an extended expiration date and then went on doing the same thing again releasing Beta 3. This way, people who now rely on LightRoom, will never have to experience an interruption in using Light Room.

So basically there will always be a Beta version available for use before the full retail release.
