Puffin browser downloads

What kind of apps are required to open downloads from a puffin browser?
I have 3 downloads but always get a message that i need the right app to open them.

Depends on what you are downloading. If it's video then the iPad should be able to play it natively as long as its a supported file type.

What kind of things are you talking about here?
