I have the option to buy a rMBP 15" 2.7GHZ 16GB/512GB for $2,200... I want to wait for Haswell but the savings... help me justify this decision (or the other decision)

$2,200 instead of $2,800? I don't think we have to tell you much! :D That is a great deal! Purchase it and enjoy! :apple:

i waited for the update...went and bought a 2.7 with 16gb at Nebraska Furniture Mart yesterday. best purchase i've made. do it!

Just beware it is the older model (2.6 not 2.7).

It used to retail for 2,999 so its a great deal.

Even with the high end being less, its still a good deal!

No the OP says 2.7, which means it is a top of the line 2012 for $3000+, or the 2013 stock high end ($2799).

Ah sorry, saw the same price and specs (minus the 2.6) as the one I would like to get and assumed it was the same!

It was a 2013 2.7 and I went ahead and got it. A friend of mine was selling it, said he needed a PC instead

So I'm happy :D
