Pulling my hair out! Using HP LaserJet 1020 over Windows network?!

HP LJ 1020 works great plugged in. When I try to use it over the Windows network in the office, it doesn't work. I have 6 other computers using windows that work perfectly fine, but my MacBook isn't budging.

Ive read everything about needing the 1022 drivers, etc... that's how I originally installed it, but I can't find much about network printing with this printer and what I do find requires compiling, terminal stuff, blah blah, which I'm not comfortable with. Also all the info is at least 4 years old, some 6 years old.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm using Lion.

Lion hates windows.
The only thing i think you could do is setup the printer with the mac, and share the printer through the mac to all the PC users, the other way round the setup is now. You can enable printer sharing in system preferences, under sharing
