Normal that's how you know it is asleep vs off or on...

No Owner's Manual these days….?

….. Or do people just not bother reading what's provided.

From the Owner's Manual of an earlier incarnation:

Power indicator light
A steady white light indicates your Mac mini is on; a pulsing light indicates it’s in sleep.

Thanks for the information ,now i know it's normal. My owners manual has nothing about a pulsating light that indicates that it is in sleep mode. Now i know ,

Yes….. I took the trouble of checking out the documentation, which is available on-line. The "Quick Start Guide" that comes with the latest Mini is more of an intro to the apps, with very little about the hardware. A bit useless to anyone new to Mac, or setting up their first computer, as I was with the first Mini in 2005.

The last "User Guide" provided, that gives a useful introduction to the hardware came with the 2011 model…… including an explanation of the pulsating light.

So….. no (real) Owner's Manual applies!
