Don't know where else to post this so I figured I'd start here!

My girlfriend and I would like to rent a car next weekend to go pumpkin picking. Can anyone recommend a fun place to go near the city? We have to do lunch in Wappinger, NY, so preferably the patch would be within 20/30 miles of Wappinger. Nearby scenery or places to walk would around would be a great bonus.

Thanks!

I've been to one in NY, I think it was in the town of SugarLoaf. Somewhere near Warwick in Orange County. I don't remember much more details as it was a few years ago and I wasn't the one driving. Not far from the city at all.

There is one in NJ too but I haven't been there.

A friend of mine mentioned a farm in Warwick but she couldn't think of the name. But that's two mentions so far so I'll try to figure it out.

Just come on over to Connecticut. I am sure you can find a pumpkin somwhere in fairfield county. You get the nice Connecticut Scenery too.

Obviously there are not any in New Jersey, nothing grows there due to the toxicity of the soil from all the waste. :p:p:p;):D:cool:

A LOT of New Yorkers visit the Jones Family Farms for both Halloween and Christmas festivities.

They're located in Shelton, CT and the lot is usually full of New York and Connecticut license plates come the holidays. Since we've moved further north, we only visit Jones once a year for the Christmas trees. Outstanding selection, you cut them down and haul 'em out.

Incidentally, they also offer strawberry and blueberry picking...
