Although I do not possess any devices that utilize Thunderbolt 5, I primarily employ Thunderbolt 4 cables from reputable brands such as Anker, OWC, Cable Matters, and an Apple Thunderbolt 4 cable. Notably, the Apple cable stands out for its exceptional tightness. In contrast, the other cables exhibit a loose fit, with OWCs being the most pronounced. I understand the reason behind this loose fit, which is attributed to the weak retention spring clips present in all these cables. Motivated by this observation, I decided to acquire a few Apple Thunderbolt 5 cables to assess their fit. I am delighted to report that they engage securely and firmly. One of my Anker Thunderbolt 4 cables began to exhibit intermittent functionality on my iPad. Consequently, I replaced it with the TB-5 cable. The connector seamlessly accommodates both the iPad and the Mac Studio. The iPad is currently connected to the device. While these cables are indeed expensive, they appear to be well-constructed with a cloth-covered cable and high-quality connectors.

I chose the Apple cables = quality feel & construction (Adam Savage's "A look inside apple's $130 usb-c cable")

I have 2 of Apples TB5 cables connected to the back of my Mac Studio. I leave the other ends loose around the front of the computer, so I can quickly and easily connect drives as and when I need to without having to reach around the back every time!
Great quality cables - but still relatively expensive, when with the chipsets etc inside!

OK AI.

Couldnt you just say 'I bought a new TB5 cable and I like it because it feels high quality and more secure than other TB4 cables I've used?'

No one wants to read LLM slop.

OK, here is what you wrote using Apple's AI Writing tool in friendly mode.

Hey AI,
I’m not sure if you can do this, but could you just say something like, ‘I recently bought a new TB5 cable and I really like it. It feels much more high-quality and secure than the other TB4 cables I’ve used.’

I know it’s not the most exciting thing to say, but I’d really appreciate it if you could try to make it more
engaging.

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
