Purchase AppleCare+ in US and MacBook Pro in Canada?

I'm going to the US for 4 months starting September, but I'd like to buy the new MacBook Pro in August (in Canada) and then purchase AppleCare+ when I get there. Will this work?

I know that AppleCare+ bought in the US will work here. Just picked up my 2018 MacBook in Buffalo today!
