iPad mini Purchase AppleCare+ past 60 days?

Hi guys

I purchased a mint condition 128 gb iPad mini retina with LTE for $400. It has its original warranty until the end of this month. if I bring it it in, and they confirm its condition, can I add AppleCare + to it?
