Hi,

I am a little confused on how Verizon SIM cards work. I am up for upgrade and was going to order an iPhone and then sell it to a friend, who does not have an upgrade.

When I get the iPhone, will I have to open the box and turn it on first, to activate it on their network? Or can i just give it to him? If I have to turn it on to activate it first, then I would have to reactivate my current phone with Verizon again, right?

Also curious, do you think I will get the iPhone faster if I order through apple.com rather than Verizon.com?

Thank you in advance!

You can swap phones all day.

But, just so you know, YOU will not be eligible for an upgrade on your phone/line for 2 years.

Also...I just had a brain fart... but I think if you upgrade to the 5, you will lose your unlimited if you had it.
