purchase limit - online and store

hi - so i'm aware that the purchase limit is 2 per customer - but what happens if i place an order online tonight for 2 (as a back up) and then go to the store and get 2 there as well. does apple's system look at credit card number and block you if you already purchased two? just wondering if this is possible.
