This is more of a general question in terms of reliability for the 2018 MBP. I recently purchased a 2018 15 inch Macbook Pro 2.6 i7 - 1tb SSD - 32gb RAM and the lowest level NVIDIA graphics card.

It was sort of an impulse buy because a friend of mine was recently hired at Apple and had a single 25% discount left that was offered to me and had to be used by mid-end of December. I currently have a 2013 15 inch Pro (2.8 i7 16gb RAM 768gb SSD) which is treating me well for my audio needs (Ableton Serato and Photoshop work mainly)

I know the 2018 model is the biggest leap in terms of performance we've had from Apple in a while and the geekbench numbers are almost double my current model (and obviously double in terms of ram) - as you can see I'm quite familiar with the "on paper" specs, but my question is for those of you out there that have had a 2018 MBP, has it proven to be reliable? My computer is used primarily for live performances, so crashes and keyboard issues would be an enormous issue for me. Being that my current MBP is approaching 6 years in age and has gone under a great deal of stress and "on" time, I can't help but think the machine is a ticking time bomb at this point.

Any insight would be helpful, but I just felt I couldn't pass up the discount. I could return it within the next month or even resell perhaps for a slight profit.
