Purchased after 5/27 free Upgrade

To anyone that purchased a 1st Gen iPhone after 5/27 (maybe because you absolutely needed a phone and the free upgrade sounded like a win/win) you can in fact get the free upgrade until 8/1. You have to take your 1st gen to the ATT store that you bought it from. They take that phone as a return and credit your card back minus a 10% restocking fee. In my case, I had to order a phone, and it may not be in prior to 8/1, but the rep told me that isn't my fault so they will honor the promotion as long as I bought the 3G phone prior to 8/1. Don't bother calling ATT. I tried 2 seperate times and no one in customer service had a clue. Also FYI, the ATT guy told me that the white 16GB were coming in much faster than the black. I wanted white anyway so it worked out for me.
