I've been reading about people planning to return their iPad Airs to get the retina minis when they come out. And I do know if my iPad was defective, I could swap it out at an Apple store no matter where I purchased it. But, would they let me return it for a Retina mini in the Apple store? The T-Mobile store states they have a $75 restocking fee for returns, so I probably couldn't do it there. Also, I am on the no money down T-Mobile plan as well.

Nope. Can't return it to Apple Store if you didn't purchase from there. Your best bet is to negotiate with a manager at T-Mobile if they would let you exchange it and if they can waive the restocking fee.

Wow. Talk about someone feeling entitled.

1. U are on no money down
2. You want to swap

Your best bet is at tmobile store. But since mini may not be available for weeks. You may be stuck paying the $75 restocking fee if u got it at tmobile store.
