purchased apps not using itunes gift card credit

I got a 25$ itunes gift card, the first thing i used it for was a 10$ app, and my remaining balance shows this.
However any app ive purchased since then keeps pulling payment from my credit card and not the remaining gift card balance.

I noticed at the store that there are app store gift cards AND itunes gift cards, however this itunes card definitely worked before, has anyone else run into this?

you need to check your settings. in iTunes go to the iTunes store and along the top click your email address and then click account and you probably have some sort of setting to deduct from your CC instead of the GC.

There is no difference between an iTunes gift card, an App Store Gift Card, an iBookstore gift card, etc. They are all tied to your iTunes account and can be used to purchase anything from books, apps, music, movies, tv shows, podcasts, etc.
