When browsing the iTunes Store on my Mac or Apple TV I might see a movie that I want to watch that I own but whenever I click on it, it asks me to purchase it or rent. If I search via my library it lets me play it fine and recognises that ive purchased it. anyone else have this issue? is it a glitch or a way for apple to trick you into making a double purchase lol

More than likely has been relisted by the studio who owns the title.
One example being every Miramax title as they used to be under Lionsgate but has since been taken over by Paramount so if you have any of those movies it will show you don’t in the iTunes Store.
The ATV app however has been recently updated to link purchased titles with the store listings so they no longer show you don’t own them upon selection via the ATV app.
