I recently purchased a rmbp in the uk. i recieved a late 2012 model but i thought i would have received the early 2013. is this right?

purchased mine just over a week ago and recieved an early 2013 model. i would return it and ask for another if it bothers you.

What are the specs of the rMBP got? if you paid for the 2.5GHz version, then yes, you are going to end up getting the 2012 version. If you paid for the 2.6GHz, then you get 2013.

thank you,

i bought it in store and just assumed i would be getting the newest version. is there a different in price? like have i paid for the right one or should i get the new one? what is the difference?

thank you so much for your help

ah okay. so its a case of it hasn't been replaced it is an entirely different spec

I'm assuming here that you got the 13" rMBP. The difference in price between the late 2012 model and the early 2013 model is 200$. The early 2013 model has a 2.6GHz processor and 256GB flash storage while the late 2012 has 2.5GHz and 128GB flash storage.

Depends what model you purchased. If it's from Apple directly then yes you should get a 2013 model.

If it's from an authorized reseller - whatever model you agreed to is legitimate.
