Purchased Ringtones not transferring to iphone from itunes

Hello all,
I'm having a problem getting ringtones from itunes onto my iphone. I purchased about a dozen ringtone sounds and also bought the ringer. They show up in itunes under ringtones but don't show up on the phone even after I sync. I have everything automatically syncing. I'm running the latest version of iTunes & am current on my phone software.

I'm on Windoze.

Any ideas? Thanks!

If you're in the UK, ringtones won't copy to your iPhone due to licensing issues.

There's no need to buy ringtones, it's very easy to make them yourself for free.

Just search on here for "create ringtones"

Sorry, I am not in the UK (US). Hopefully that is not a requirement to post -apologies if it is.

On one search I read that Apple changed it so that you MUST buy a song or ringtone from the itunes store in order to make it into a ringer. Is that false?

I will definitely try the search as you recommended. I wasn't too happy about having to BUY ringtones (once let alone twice).

One thing to note. The "must buy a song" restriction that you refer to applies only to DRM-protected songs bought in iTunes. Anything else, you can create your own ringtone from.

Also, search the forum for "audiko", it'll tell you about http://audiko.net/, it's legit and useful.
