Purchased songs missing

My wife bought songs and apps using a country A-based iTunes Store from her iPhone 4S. Following the recent ios update her music disappeared. We moved to country B and she has country-B for her iTunes account.

My question is how to download purchased songs and apps. We try with iTunes on my MacBook Pro but that also did not work.
