So I quickly did the math on this and it seems cheaper than getting a phone outright. Has anyone tried it before? If I get a VZW iPhone 6 for $199, then pay the $350 ETF, I essentially get a SIM unlocked iPhone for $549, that's $100 off the retail price of a 16GB iPhone 6. Activation fees are waived if you cancel within 3 days and the the only other cost I can think of is a pro-rated refund for the 29 days of unused service. Thoughts? It can't be this easy to buy a discounted iPhone can it?

i believe if you do within the return period, you HAVE to surrender the phone. Then if you pass the return period and decide to cancel, you will need to pay for at least 1 month of service and then cancel and pay ETF. i don't think you can cancel within the week and keep the phone. or something like that.
