purchasing monitor issues!

ok, i have been looking around for an external monitor, however, i want to have the actual monitor vertically, instead of horizontal. now, i have a 24" iMac and was thinking 22" monitor was the key, but am not sure what monitor to buy as turning it vertical is a must..

anyone have any idea?

I think this is a really good option. I just got the 24" version. Dell 2208WFP. It does pivot into portrait mode, and is currently on sale. Good luck to you.

Why did you choose that over the apple 23"? Curious as I am looking for a new monitor myself.

The ACD does not have the ability to pivot, does it? Wouldn't that pretty much rule it out, as that was the main criteria listed?

Hey Steve. I chose the Dell because of HDCP compliance (allows me to connect PS3 and watch blu-ray's/play games), which the ACD doesn't have. I also chose it because of the price and included 3 year warranty. I paid around $640 including tax and shipping (currently free). Hope that helps in your decision. Good luck to you.
