I need some help deciding between the new MacBook Pro and the 2015 MacBook pro.

Macbook Pro 2015 $1439.00
  • 2.9 Ghz Dual-core Intel i5 with retina display
  • 13.3-inch
  • 8GB of 1866MHz LPDDR3 onboard memory
  • 512GB PCIe-based flash storage 1
  • 720p FaceTime HD camera
  • Intel Iris Graphics 6100

or

Macbook Pro 2016 $1499.00
  • 2.0GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, Turbo Boost up to 3.1GHz
  • 8GB 1866MHz memory
  • 256GB PCIe-based SSD
  • Intel Iris Graphics 540
  • Backlit Keyboard (English) & User's Guide
  • Two Thunderbolt 3 ports

I will be using it for writing papers, internet browsing, email, video editing, photo editing. I'm hoping it's gonna last me for several years and that's gonna be pretty fast. I currently have a MacBook air 2013, but battery life isn't lasting as long and thats why I want to go ahead and upgrade. I want to get a MacBook pro because I want something more powerful than my current MacBook Air.

Any advice is appreciate it.

Which one do you like the most? Power isn't going to be a huge difference.

well one of the things keeping me from getting the new Macbook is the lack of a USB port. I like charging my iPhone on my MacBook whenever I'm traveling, but if there is an improvement when it comes to Graphics (games) and overall performance, then I wouldn't mind buying the new one.

Don't forget all the ports you get with the 2015 Pro. Definitely a plus in my book.
