Purchasing overseas?

Very keen on purchasing a new macbook pro but was just wondering the difference between purchasing one in my home country(South Africa) or getting one from the USA? My brother is coming back from there fairly soon so he can get one for me while he is there!

Wanting to know the issues I will have with region codes, software issues, support and warranty and guarantee's etc?

Please help.. Thanks
 
Keyboard might be different but if Apple officially sells Macs in South Africa, there shouldn't be any warranty issues as AppleCare is universal
