What is the consensus on this show? Anyone else watched the first two episode? So far I am kinda hook, but part of me felt like Gilligan should have expanded on why the US Military would create the virus signal sent from outer space. But then again, the US leadership in real life would probably do that...

Overall this show is decent, I wouldn't say its better than Severance but the first 2 episode is a very good so far.
 
I watched the first episode last night and it was "ok." I plan on watching episode 2 tomorrow night or Sunday. I hope it picks up with more character development and story.

Edited to add: You should put a spoiler alert in the thread title. You shouldn't be giving anything away to people who haven't watched, yet, but, intend to.

One of the thing I do kinda find interesting is this show takes place in a world with all of the fake brands from BB.

Just watched the first episode and I haven't read this thread on fear of spoilers. My initial thoughts is this show is creepy, and this is like what if the Borg (Or the Conspiracy Aliens) (TNG) invaded earth and was successful. That sequence with Carol in a state of panic when Helen died was eerie, and the. talk with Taffler was even more eerie. I'm intrigued so far.
 
Just saw the first episode. Was a really good one. Waiting to see how the season moves forward. Also was nice to see the new Apple TV logo/intro just before the show.

Saw the second episode. Another good one. Will be very interesting to see the rest of the season. Think it can be very successful like Severance.

However the big problem is how long it will take for the next season to be released. Read online that there are plans for 4 seasons. With a 2 year gap between seasons, it will be very long before the whole series is complete and to known what exactly is happening!!

Loving it. Been watching most of the day. Basically killing people by making them zombie clones = okay, but we can’t kill to feed you.🤣

Yes, this is a big problem for me. They use to end seasons with cliffhangers, and sometimes, like in the case of Severance, the time from season 1 to season 2 can be as long as 3 years… I had to re-watch the first season before watching the second one.

I don’t like waiting. That’s why I usually wait until the show is over, and I start binge watching it. It’s what I plan to do with Stranger Things for instance, I only saw the first season years ago, and I’ll watch the complete show once they release the final season.

Sometimes they cancel the show when you’re hooked to it. Sometimes the quality of the final season is not as good as it should… that’s why I prefer to wait.

Completely agree. With such long gaps between seasons, can end up forgetting the storyline. In a way, happy that Stranger Things is finally coming to an end. Shows on streaming services usually have a very long gap. Hoping that the wait for the next season of Pluribus will not be long.

Just completed the 3rd episode. Was great as usual!

I'm enjoying it (though only on E2 at the moment) though am wondering how such a hive mind really can work in practice. Though i have the same doubts about the Borg too lol.
 
Wow. Recently I’ve acquired AppleTV at the promotional price of 4,99€/month during 6 months. And the first show I started to watch was Plur1bus.

Yesterday I started with the first episode and I got hooked instantly. I saw the four episodes available.

I have never watched Breaking Bad, but I don’t think I’d like the genre. However, I absolutely love Science Fiction.
 
Poor pirate girl… each episode seems like a new attempt from Carol to kill her, despite she being so lovely. I know what I’d do in Carols’ situation.

And regarding the main plot: I’m not really sure how bad would it be for that to happen in real life. Maybe not as drastic (and unrealistic) as in the show, but a bit more of empathy and consensus among humans, without losing completely our individuality, would be very beneficial for all of us.

You know what I’m loving from this show? It barely has sub-plots. It’s quite straightforward, in contrast with other shows that focus on “character development” and nothing really happens. Just “the characters themselves and their subplots and their dramas”…meh

Yep! Tomorrow it’s out!

Eagerly waiting for it, especially now that I have a 4K mini LED monitor to watch it in HDR.

I hope Apple never strips out the 4K resolution or the HDR from the subscription to make you pay for a premium, more expensive tier, like other streaming services do.

4,99€ for a month of such quality content in 4K HDR is an excellent deal! And it still is once it goes back to 9,99€ in six months time.

Don’t think Apple will have a separate tier for 4K or HDR. Think they might raise the price in the future and have an ad supported version at the current price. But not expecting that to happen any time soon.

Apple TV does have some great shows. I have access to it via Apple One subscription.

Will be watching the new episode soon.

Just finished the 5th episode. Story continues to be very interesting. Cannot wait to see where it goes from here!!

Honestly, I’m really enjoying how this show is building tension without dragging the plot. Episode 5 especially felt like things finally clicked, and now every character interaction feels like it could turn the whole direction of the story. I also agree with a lot of you — the long gaps between seasons might end up being the biggest challenge for viewers.
