I just swapped out an iPhone at the Apple store last week. Today a video podcast updated so I went to watch it.

When I turned the phone sideways there were 1/4" purple vertical bars across the screen.

I tried restoring the phone and it did not help.

I made another appointment to have them swap it again, but its a long drive and a hassle.

I can't find anything on the net about it either.

I was wondering if anyone else ever seen this.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5G77 Safari/525.20)

Have you been able to try other videos or podcasts? Do the bars show up during all video playback, like YouTube videos for instance?

Yes, they show up on all videos including YouTube.

Funny thing is when I snap a picture of the video with stripes, the photo is fine w/o stripes.

Sure its not your eyes? :p

But umm, Take it to the Apple store.

If they can see it, be thankful your eyes are intact. :D

LOL.

I took it back tonight and they saw it too... so my eyes are still fine... for now.

They swapped it no problem. Rebuilding the replacement now...

They had never seen anything like it either.... btw
