iPhone 14 Pro Purple vs Silver.. Now that iPhone 14 Pro is out... what do you prefer?

Have been on the fence and narrowed down to two. Do you feel Purple vs Silver is better for the iPhone 14 Pro?

The Silver is very clean. The Purple is very subtle - similar to how the Gold is very subtle. All the colours are beautiful.

Silver has an advantage because it's easier for people to see you have the more expensive Pro (three camera lenses) and not the less expensive non-Pro (two camera lenses).

This is a negative for me. lol.

The Silver and Gold looks great though. But if I had to choose, I might have a harder time picking Gold vs Purple.

This is the biggest dilemma for me. Show the lenses, or hide them with the darker purple.

if you check the inventory checker, Silver was out of stock for in-store pickup quickly this morning. Purple is the only color that is still available, at least in Dallas.

Issue is not knowing about how much they had silver stock. Was stock of silver lower than purple so silver was destined to sell out quicker? Purple being the featured color... seemed like they would have a lot more.

that is fair but all other colors is still available much later than Silver. Is Silver the only color that has limited stock?

If it makes you feel better, I have never confused an iPhone with any other phone. Even the dark ones have a very signature square bump.

Silver. Purple could have been nice but in most light it looks like a muted gray to my eyes. In certain light it looks good but too inconsistent for my tastes.

Why do they call the iPhone silver, the band around the iPhone is silver, but the back is white.

I've gone the space black, this time. The second choice was deep purple.

Whoops. Forgot to include the quote about why the silver is called that when the back is white! It’s based on the colour of the frame.

I was between the Silver and Purple 14 pro max but reserved silver for store pick up. For me I felt underwhelmed when I saw the silver in store and it was the only model that already had scratches on the bottom frame! I knew the answer but still asked if I can change to Purple and off course they ran out of stock in all colours. The purple looked amazing as I like the grey tone to it really unique. Anyway I was in luck as a lady who reserved the Purple didnt like it as it was too dark for her taste so we swapped with the manager's blessing! Am very happy with my choice and with the Ink leather case looks so nice.

Looking at the phones The purple looks very sexy in person, makes silver look a bit cheaper looking especially the camera bump where it has a plasticky looking bump and the camera accents really accentuate the camera bumps a little too much. Leaning towards purple again… cameras and the darker color for the camera bump just makes it feel more seamless and integrated without being too “look at my three big eyes”

Got a Silver Pro Max 1TB. Coming from Sierra Blue Pro Max 512. Prior to that for many years, I was Silver/White. I hated what Apple did with "black". Varied levels of dark grey. The only time I went back to "black" was when Apple release a true black phone. The same year they made the gloss black iPhone as well. First two iPhones 3G and 3GS were both black. Silver became sexy when the 4/4S hit. Those shiny chamfered edges!

But seems purple is amazingly popular! So definitely a YMMV thing. 🙂
