I was just wondering if anyone could explain how push email will work on iPhone 2.0 software. In the Keynote in March, they alluded to the Microsoft exchange server which is obviously for business users, and you would need a business account.

What I was wondering was whether the push email will work without the exchange server. So for those of us with .mac or yahoo accounts for example, will these give us push email or will we have to set up an exchange server?

I don't know how much sense I'm making, but if anyone could answer for me, that would be great.

Push email works with Exchange and Yahoo and any other email system that supports push IMAP. Hopefully other email providers like Google will integrate push IMAP in the near future.

Hasnt Google offered it for months now?
