I saw that, checked my email and noticed that I should have gotten that message they sent at 8. When did I get it, ten minutes ago when I manually opened my mail. :(

It can take a long time to get the MobileMe announcement emails. They have tons of people to send it to. I once asked the MobileMe Support Chat people why some people received the MobileMe announcements (sent by email) about the 90 days free because of the launch issues. They said it was because they send the emails out in waves (or groups). So some people may get the email one day, and others the next.

Just tested "push". Seems to be fairly instantaneous to and from all platforms, including the mail.app, iCal app, iphone and mobile me. Finally!

Same thing here. Address Book changes are absolutely instantaneous for me. No delay at all--both ways. Calendar has about a 5 second delay-still not bad!

Seems like it's broken for me. I only get my mobileme mails when mail.app fetches them from all of my accounts. Although it worked before.

No you aren't understanding what I was saying. I was supposed to get the email at 8 as a pushed message to my phone. I did not get it till I checked at like 930. Where it used to work just fine before.

Well since yesterday the "push" service doesn't work anymore for me in neither way iphone <-> mobileme.

Let's wait and see.

Ok so after a restart everything is fine again. Maybe 2 weeks of uptime isnt the best thing to do.

Mine has been instant for months now. I am very happy with the service. My only complaint is when you click the "share" link in a photo gallery and you enter your e-mail address as the sender, it should show that as the sent from address, All my friends deleted one of these when I sent one of a bunch of pics of my daughter, they thought it was spam and just deleted it. Never opened it.

push doesn't work at all for me. i added quite a bit to my calendar yesterday, haven't seen any of it. anything i can try to fix it? address changes take DAYS as well. I'm making the changes on my iMac.

I'm also very happy with my service. Push e-mail has worked mostly reliably all along, but the calendar and contact syncing had been flaky. Now I have worry-free instant push syncing across my iPhone, MacBook, and 2 PC's with Outlook.

My push has been working for months quite nicely. My only MobileMe issues are iDisk syncing, but thats a different topic!

I'd wish Apple would open up the MobileMe push syncing to other third party apps for Mac and iPhone soon, extending this background app push service that keeps being dropped from the iPhone.

Ok, I lost patience and try to get "push" working again. I was finally able to do so by deleting the MobileMe account from my iPhone and setting it up again. Now push works perfectly. I guess the MobileMe update must have messed up sth with my iPhone.

Push works great for me. Both iPhone and Mail get the e-mail at the same time. But the slower sync back the other way is a little annoying.

Wish MobileMe was a little cheaper though.

Interestingly my iPhone receives my emails a few seconds before my Mac does!

I've had MobileMe on my iPhone since my iPhone was first purchased and I've never had any issues or glitches on the iPhone side from MobileMe updates etc. (Early adopter teething problems that everyone had put aside that is!)

Glad it's all up and working for you now though.
