Push not working with 3.0 GM

Edit: I meant to put Gmail push not working on the title, sorry about that.

Correct me if i'm wrong but I know there is another thread stating that push gmail was indeed working under a beta stage 3.0.

I have 3.0 right now and gmail still isn't push which is extremely annoying how the iphone is not capable of doing this yet.

Also, I was under the impression that push notifications also meant when a new email is received (push or not) that an alert like the sms/text alert would alert you saying that you have an email message.

Unfortunately, push Gmail has never been enabled on the iPhone, 3.0 or otherwise.

Actually, some claim that they got it to be just as fast as Push, but I could never get it to work.

But it isn't the phone that is the limitation. It is Google.

Yeah, I've seen those claims but don't believe them. I highly doubt that Apple would add push Gmail without telling anyone about it.

And, indeed, the ball is in Google's court, not Apple's, to bring push gmail to the iphone.
