So now that iPhone OS 3.0 supports Push notifications I am wondering - will it cost me to receive a push notification while roaming? I have data roaming turned off when I am in Canada, but I still use my iPhone with Beejive messenger in Wifi hotspots. And Beejive will now push me an IM message while I am away, and I know that this happens over the cellular network although it's not technically a text message or regular data usage. Would a push count as data? If so how much? A few kb? Would my iPhone just reject push notifications while roaming if "data roaming" is turned off, or will it charge me?

yes everything sent through a app on the iphone is counted as data not txt

if you turn off data roaming, you will not get push notifications over cellular network, so you dont have to worry about being charged. once you move into a wifi hotspot you should be pushed all of your queued notifications
