Are push notifications hard on the battery? Does anybody keep it disabled or is the drain so marginal that it doesn't really affect anything?

Push notifications must have a certain affect on an iPhone's battery life, but they were specifically designed to use less power than other methods.

For me the convenience of having them turned on, outweigh's the need to charge my iPhone more.
