Push Notifications only work in Airplane Mode with Wifi enabled

I have a problem with my push notifications. They only work exactly when I have my phone in Airplane Mode and with Wifi enabled. Here are the details of my phone:

Phone: iPhone 3GS
OS: 3.1.2, jailbroken, NOT unlocked
Activation: Not Hacktivated
Data: "Unlimited Mobile Browsing" - others report that they are able to get Push notifications through this connection on my cell phone provider
Push Notifications: Do not work when not in Airplane Mode

I have search the internet for countless hours for a solution and although I have discovered some threads where people have the same problem, no solution was provided.

All I had to do was change the DNS settings for my wifi network and it fixed every thing.

On my iphone I went to Settings>Wi-Fi>My Network>DNS

I changed my DNS setting to 8.8.8.8 which is the IP Address of Googles DNS Servers check the following link for more details http://code.google.com/speed/public-dns/

Same deal. PUSH works great when in airplane mode.. or when during a call.

Other than that doesnt work. If i toggle airplane mode on/off it works for about 1-2minutes then stops again.

Please help me
