So just received an email that the Dev program is beginning testing using an AIM preview app. Of course i tried to download using the redeem section on the iphone and it didnt work. when i went back to try on itunes it now says i have already used the redeem code and now i cannot download it..... so dont do what i did if you want to participate...
 
UPDATE! Just got it to download!

Yep and there's now a notifications thing within "Settings". When you go into it, it list the apps that support push notifications so you can edit badges, alerts, sounds etc.

So if you don't have the AIM chat app open, it alerts you of the messages on the screen?

I assume for this, you would have to be constantly signed in to AIM?

That's how it works, it keeps you logged in on their side and alerts your phone if you miss a message.
 
Ok, I assumed that would be the case. So you have to actually sign yourself out on the AIM app before closing it if you don't want to receive the alerts/notifications etc?
