Is it possible to streamline the updating process for mulitple machines on a network? We have about 40 users running Tiger here, and while they all have Software Update enabled, sometimes it is best for users not to run the updates themselves. Is it possible to push out these updates if we have domain administrator capabilities? What are people doing these days to perform a similar process? Any suggestions/resources someone could recommend.

I'm certainly no expert, but I believe that OS X Server has a feature called Software Update Server that allows you to essentially run your own server with just the updates your select.
Alternatively, Apple Remote Desktop could be used to push out updates - you can give it a .pkg file and tell it to install it on the remote systems.
