I have a time machine backup on an external drive with my iMac. The backup has a lot of photos. I want to take that backup and connect it to another Mac at my daughters house and copy the photos from the external drive onto her Mac. How exactly do I do that? If I connect the hard drive with the backup on her Mac, and I choose to backup with that drive, will it erase what is on the external drive?

I would appreciate your help

Why not just do this the SUPER easy way and copy them to a thumb drive?

Yes, I know it can be done that way but I would like to know if it can be done by just connecting the backup to the other Mac with Time Machine.
