Why oh why does it all of a sudden take 45-60 secs for it to go to sleep when I tell it to? Just a few weeks ago, I would tell it to go to sleep and poof...it was asleep. I cant think of anything I did.

Zap PRAM (reboot and hold down "Command+Option+P+R" while it is booting, when you hear the startup sound for the seond time let go.
Then try repairing permissions?

The screen just sits there like it is now....on. I wait and wait, wondering whats going to happen. Then eventually, it goes to sleep as normal.
