A put a DVD into my computer and the disk came up on the desktop, I highlited it and pressed duplicateand now i have a folder with audio TS and Video TS in it can i put this on a DVD? to play back on DVD player?

no i dont think so. but there is a simple dvd copier out there. i just dont remember what its called. i'll be watching this thread, i'd like to know how to do this as well. considering one of the first dvd's i ever bought didnt even last as long as a VHS tape. thats my fault though, too many scratches

Give it a try, but I doubt it will work. Movie companies are hell bent on making DVDs difficult to copy. As beatle888 has mentioned, there are softwares that will fully duplicate your DVD and make it playable. But those software companies are getting sued by movie companies.

You can't copy movie dvds just like that, because they are encrypted and most of the time they are on a dual layer dvd-9 wiith a maximum of 9.4 GB of data on them while the blank dvds you can buy are dvd-5s with a maximum storage capacity of 4.7 GB.

There are ways to do it, though...

You can burn a DVD using a Video TS folder and Toast platinum, I've done it, but as The Future notes, you've probably got a massive folder there, check how big it is, if it's over 4.8gig forget it.

You can play the Video TS folder from DVD player, if it runs you can burn it subject to size.
