Putting music back on after restoring

I wanna restore my phone but don't wanna sort thru my entire library to put the songs I want back on my iphone...suggestions?

make a playlist on your computer's iTunes is what he meant, I think

And when you sync with your phone, select that particular playlist

Thanks..how do I back up my current home screen apps to put then right back after the restore? One time I did it and it put ALL apps I ever had on my phone. I want the exact same set up I have now

I think you would need to have your apps installed before restoring from backup to have the apps auto organized (or restore from backup again after you have the apps installed). I'm not certain though so take screenshots just in case something does go wrong

First make sure iCloud backup is off ...

Then connect to Itunes and go to Apps sections under your phone .. Just below the whole list of apps there is a checkmark which says something like Install all new apps or something , remove that and do a Sync

Then manually on main page of your phone do a manual backup + setup music playlist as advised above on iTunes

All the above steps are on your computer iTunes, not on the phone
