iPod Putting notes onto an ipod, how?

Hi, i've been trying to put some notes onto my ipod for my trip abroad (language phrases etc) but i just can't find a format that the ipod can understand.

I have checked the apple forums but i can't find any threads there and both safari and firefox seem to freeze when trying to access it despite restarting router, safari, cache etc but that's a problem for a rainy day.

I'm going abroad thursday morning, and was kinda helping someone could tell me how to get notes onto my ipod without the text turning into some weird code...

I've sorted the issue. I've gone back to basics using a .txt and it's working fine now. I should have held out a little longer, sorry. It's into the early hours and i was getting a little fraustrated + the brain isn't reasoning properly.
