sorry if this is a bit off topic, but i'm looking for some help....

i'm trying to figure out how to drag pics (from the internet) into message boards and emails but not having any success...i'm able to drag them off the the web and save them to my desk top, but when i put them into an email it looks like this:

/Users/brian/Desktop/Picture 2.png

any help is appreciated.

(btw, my email is hotmails, and my browser is safari, and i'm using a PBG4)

You can't just drag the files into the message window and have it work. You need to use Hotmail's file attaching mechanism to upload your file. I'm not a Hotmail user, so I don't know the specifics, but there should be an "Attach File" button or something similar somewhere in the composing window.

The next step is to upload them to a server somewhere. If you are trying to use them here at MR, you can click on 'manage attachments' at the bottom of the 'new post' window to upload them. Otherwise you can use a free service like ImageShack.us to host the picture for you. Then you just paste in the url address to point at your image.

i've uploaded files and pictures in emails, but i've not been able to have them show in the body of the email...

ex: here is a pic of my dog spot (picture)

/Users/brians/Desktop/Picture 2.png this is what i get instead

thats what i want though, is to have it in the body of the email....

don't know how you can drag it. try loading it onto tinypic.com, photobucket.com, or something like that (since you can get it on your desktop) and copy and paste the tag. works good for me.
