Hello,
I don't know if i have to put it here or on the 'macbook' forum, try it first here.
I am planning in buying the 2012 Macbook Pro, non Retina. Still doubting between the basic one or the 2,6Ghz.
Because my girlfriend wants to use my old white macbook, and i want to upgrade the new MBP with 16 RAM, i thought to put the RAM i buy with the new MBP into the White macbook.
That way my White macbook goes from 2 RAM to 4 or 8 RAM, depending on what MBP i Buy...

Is it possible to do? Thanks for any advice,
Roel

6,1 is one of the only MacBook's to have DDR3 RAM, which is what the 2012 MBP uses. In theory, the RAM should work, and it'll be clocked down to the max speed on the old MB.

Yeah, when i look into 'my mac' is see -2 GB 1067 MHz DDR3-
So that will work? Because that would make it worth upgrading the new MBP with an new RAM myself and putting that one in my white macbook...
thanks
