Why would any right minded person think Apple will release iPhone 4S as the flagship device along with iOS 5?
It would make NO sense and all major iPhones in the past were released along with a major release of iOS, with the numbers matching.

iPhone 1 - iOS 1.0
iPhone 3G (iPhone 2) - iOS 2.0
iPhone 3GS (iPhone 3) - iOS 3.0
iPhone 4 - iOS 4.0
iPhone 5 - iOS 5.0

Nexus-Prime FTW will make the cool brand new iPhone5 look dated one week after release :)

When a headline says "Putting the iPhone 4S Rumors to Rest Once and For All!", I expect to read Facts, not more speculations.

iPhone 3G came out with 2.0 :rolleyes:
iPhone 3Gs came out with 3.0

Why couldn't the 4s come out with 5.0 if the #'s game didn't match up on the 3G and 3Gs?
 
No *****. They've released an iPhone every year, and iOS every year. Of course it's successive numbering.
 
wasnt the intention of the iphone 4s was so that it could be 8gb, and cheaper.... so people who are still using shhhhite blackberrys like me can afford to go pay as you go, coz contract is way overpriced, and i dont need 16gb of memory i have an external hard drive which i export to all the time.. iphone 4s wouldnt be a bad target audience, providing its around £299 pay as you go, however i doubt it, apples iphone 3gs brand new is still like £400....

Chill the Hell out. It's just a friggin phone, nobody gives a rats ass what it's called. Call it whatever the hell you want, it's still going to be a minor speed bump.
