I guess I have two questions about this. 1. Is it possible to run vista (home premium) on a mac running tiger? 2. If it's possible, can it be installed without clearing the hard drive? I don't want to have to transfer and reinstall apps, ideally. I know this has to do with partitioning, but beyond that I'm clueless. Any advice appreciated. Thanks

Boot Camp for Tiger expired on December 31st 2007, so you need Leopard to run Boot Camp or reset your clock to before that date all the time.
Leopard supports Windows Vista. You can also get Snow Leopard and use that of course, which is only 29USD, but it is not really 100& legal to upgrade from Tiger to Snow Leopard with the 29USD version, but nonetheless doable.
