Has anybody here created a PVR with a Mac Mini and some HD tuner like EyeTV? Maybe even MythTV?

Thanks
Eric

I use a HD Cable Box and a Firewire cable. then i use iRecord to record pure Mpeg2 right from the box. It works very well.

Cool. I don't have cable and so, I will need a tuner to receive signal over the air.

but this option doesn't let you use it as a PVR. there are several options from miglia, eye tv, and plextor. take a look at the mac site under video accessories. it'll give you some idea of what's out there.

Thank you for your reply. Can you be a little more specific? When you say Mac Site under video accessories, where is this? Again, thank you! :)

Currently I have been running this setup for nearly 6 months:

- Mac Mini 1.66 Intel Core Duo 2G Ram Super Drive
- Pyrod 37" LCD 1920x1080 native resolution
- External M9 USB2/Firewire Case with 250G HD
- Miglia TVmini DVB Tuner (We get both SD and HD in Broadcasts in Australia) using Bundled EyeTV v2.3.3

Mini connected to TV via DVI cable.

Absolutely Brilliant.
