Hi. ive got a 1st gen iphone running 2.2.1 and was ready to attempt to Upgrade to V3.0...However i have read that to upgrade and keep the phone unlocked and activated, my iphone should have previously been unlocked using Pwnage as opposed to Quikpwn

Since i bought my iphone already unlocked and dont know what method was used, im wondering if there is a way to tell how the phone was unlocked and if either pwnage or quikpwn was used

I know its a long shot but just thought id take a punt before i attempt the upgrade in itunes

Just to mention im using a windows pc...if that matters

While there is no way to tell. Why not just go ahead and do a full restore to 2.2.1 in iTunes, then re-unlock with pwnage tool, then upgrade? Or just wait until Friday for the official(unofficial) unlock to come out for 3.0?
